Quote from Christopher Raemisch :With exception to the new Camaro I haven't heard of a single one being able to handle =)

Still for an 80's car it wasn't bad.

Yeah. the movie Transformers ruined new american cars for me . So, i am starting to go with the European and Japanese now. My brothers give me crap about it, but whatever. A Japanese car has unlimited possibilities to make it look like you want it. Also, they can get VERY fast. I watched a video on youtube where some guys had a SVT Mustang, and They were racing a Supra. At the end, it turns out the Supra had 1000+ hp in it. Also, the Mercedes Black series cars have better V8 sounds than American cars. Ferrari has a better V8 sound; Alfa's 8C has a better V8 sound than American cars; BMW's V8 in the new M3 has a better V8 sound; and finally, Aston Martin has better sounding V8's than any other American car. So, I want either a classic american, a japanese car, or a european car.
Quote from Mikkel Petersen :Lol. That's why I asked you. Why is it crap?

The old Ford Fiesta looks hideous to me. The new one has so much more style to it, and Top Gear proved it has so much performance for a little car. You know what else, too? I didn't double post!

Maybe you should take your Dad's advice.

Now since a lot of people say grip racing, I just figured out that it does sound weird. I CALLED it that because the car I drive isn't a race car. But, I am now going to call it racing. just racing. besides, it doesn't take that long to say anyway . Racing... yeah.

Quote from thisnameistaken :They were terrible cars too. I lived in the states in the early/mid '90s and knew a couple of guys who had those.

My favourite American car is probably the Mk5 Lincoln Continental which I had for a while. What a stupid car! When I bought mine it had birds nesting in it and I should've just left them there, but it looked so ridiculous I had to get it running and drive it around like King Idiot.

I remember I got a old Dutch mechanic guy I knew (who'd done work on my '62 Volvo 122S) to sort out the brakes and when he came to collect it he laughed out loud, he couldn't believe an Englishman would buy such a stupid car. He was leaning against my fence unable to control himself for about five minutes when he saw it.

I loved that car.

Well, the IROC can't really handle. but they look so cool! and they are quite fast.

Quote from AjRose :Finally! The source of all these threads!

I'm sorry that was a bit rude. But you should seriously calm down a bit you are heading in the wrong direction.

Your right. I am sorry:sorry::ashamed:. I am just starting to get sick of some people always trying to ruin what other people say. If they say it, and they don't have the brightest opinion about it, I think they shouldn't say it. So, I'm am so sorry for being rude.

Quote from The Very End :Dude, I live in Norway, and I am going to travvel all alone, think of poor little me
And I have never flied before, I am going to puke all the way to holland, hurray lol!

no you won't. I have flown 6 times already. It's not that bad. Just relax, look out the window (unless you have a fear of heights), and don't eat anything, especially junk food. Maybe have a soda, like Sprite, that flight attendents give to you. You can also sleep, and if your flying in a 747, they do provide TV's in the seats.

I have found that
Quote from Nathan_French_14 :LFS is nothing for me lately. Im not trying to sound like a dick, and im not trying to offend the devs, but this game has gotten very boring over the past year for me, and i've lost interest to be honest. Sure, the scirocco will make me play again if and when it gets realised, but i'll most likely get bored of it after a week or two, and will stop playing again.

dude, you are not a dick. a dick is someone who always makes sure your saying and doing something right, rather then they actually knowing that they are doing something wrong. I hate to be a dick on this one, but you said realised. I know you meant RELEASED though. so
Quote from hrtburnout :Spot on.

Don't you see that we think it's funny that you call racing 'grip racing'?

LFS is an old hobby for me, and a community. The hobby aspect is covered under a layer of dust, but the community isn't (yet? ).

Umm... you are now being a dick. I call it grip racing; who else cares in this forum? Go and ask everybody and come back to me. If they do care, my bad then. If they don't, then thats okay. Stop trying to make people feel bad about the things they say. Like my dad sometimes says to me; "There a stick out in the garage. Go get it and wack yourself in the head with it."

Quote from thisnameistaken :Hers proudly sported "5.0" on the back in boxy chrome characters. It still had a silly American engine, just none of the kitschy comic book American styling.

yeah, 5.0 is a 305. not real big. a ford small block, and chevy had the same for the Camaro RS (my brother's Camaro RS sounded like angel's harps). Still, if you want a good late 80's american car, get a Camaro IROC-Z. They got 5.7, aka 350. People bore and stroke those all the time to a 383 Stroker.

Quote from Riders Motion :Hi,

As some of you probably know, I bought myself a Playstation 3 for Christmas as I was bored of never being able to play any recent game on my PC. I got it and not so long ago, I was given Gran Turismo 5: Prologue by a friend.

At first I wasn't too sure I would like it since it's really not a rFactor or a Live For Speed. After a few races tho, and using my Logitech Momo, this game is really great. I say game because honestly, it's not a simulator. The cars are still well modeled and the tracks too which makes you forget the so-so physics quite fast.

I never played any Gran Turismo before this one because the only other console I owned was a Xbox but I can say it's really nice for the not-too-serious week-end racer willing to hand out with friends without having to worry about his driving skills. If you aint too good, just put the physics to a easier level and you're good to go. The game is still rather easy to play with Professional physics and all aids OFF. Live For Speed probably helped me.

Anyway, what I'm trying to say is that Gran Turismo isn't as bad as some peoples on this forum are saying. Just like Forza 2, really. If you see it from the point of a hardcore simulation racer, you wont like it. But if you see it from the point of someone who want to drive his dream car on the most popular track around the world, then the game will charm you.

oh man! I wish I had a PS3. Great reveiw, you might make some people buy it. Also, on the previous versions, you are only missing out on the third Gran Turismo. The 4th one, just sucked in all physics. Third one, I could actually drift in there, and the graphics in GT3 are pretty good graphics. Anyway, great GT5 reveiw. Bet you can't wait for the full version to come out!

This is going off topic in a off topic thread, but i was just re-capping some old Top Gear episodes, and I saw the TVR Tuscan 2 one. I was just wondering, how do you start the engine on one of those?

Quote from S14 DRIFT :Maybe you should study more, and learn from yourself, instead of resorting to desperate measures such as asking a sim-racing forum. (That's life advice as well, I'm not picking)

Better luck next time, just put some effort in.

Ok, I am stuck on a science question. the question is:

A sample of gas has a pressure of 135 kPa at a temperature of 295 K. Some time later, the same sample has a volume of 0.575 L at a pressure of 105 kPa and a temperature of 270 K.
What was the original volume of the gas?

does anybody know this answer? please please please help!!!

Hi professional skinners! I have this one request, but I don't care if it's done for a car I can't even use. Ok, I found the newest Lamborghini done by Edo, and the graphics and vinyl's on it look so awesome. I was wonder, can anybody try making a skin from this? you can find that Lamborghini right here http://www.netcarshow.com/edo/ ... urcielago_lp710_audigier/ . I just want to see if it is possible to be done, that's all. Oh, if you do make it, youshould make it public. I bet a lot of licensed users would love this skin.

LFS for me is dying... Don't get me wrong I enjoyed the many years I've spent on it, it's good, got my moneys worth out of it too, but for now it's on its last legs, unless something drastic happens soon that isn't just 1 new car with a few tweaks to other things.

hey thanks dude. I'm not really good at even posting a sentence, so thanks for the backup!
